- Location: The ideal place is in your dedicated Pooja Room (or Home Altar). It should be placed on a clean, elevated platform or a small mandapam.
- Direction: As per Vastu Shastra, the idol should generally face the East or North direction, with the worshipper facing the idol (and therefore facing East or North).
- Rituals: It is used for performing:
- Abhishekam: Ritual bathing with water, milk, panchamirtham, etc., (as brass is durable).
- Alankaram: Decoration with sandalwood paste, turmeric, and vermilion (kumkum).
