Design Uruli For Home decor / Pooja 11.5″ :
- The Uruli Base: The vessel for water, symbolizing wealth, abundance, and purification (Vastu).
- The Arch/Prabhavali: The ornate, decorative arch (Prabhavali or Thiruvachi) that typically surrounds a deity in a temple setting. It symbolizes the divine aura, halo, and celestial gateway for the deity.
- The Lotus/Tree Motif: The central, intricate carving (which often depicts a Kalpavriksha or wish-fulfilling tree, or an elaborate floral motif) represents spiritual growth, eternal life, and prosperity.
- Main Function: This is its ideal placement. It functions as a permanent, consecrated vessel for lighting and offerings.
- Candle/Deepam: A small cotton wick (deepam) is placed inside the arch’s central holder (where a small candle wick is visible in the photo). Lighting this deepam transforms the entire piece into a sacred lamp, where the light shines against the intricate brass work.
- Offerings: The bowl itself can be filled with fresh water and flower petals, or simply sacred rice grains (akshata), haldi (turmeric), and kumkum (vermilion) to enhance the altar’s aesthetic and spiritual energy.
